NG peripheral traction thickener
The NG thickener is a peripheral-traction, running-roller thickener. This peripheral traction design is commonly employed in large-scale thickener applications. In the case of running roller skidding caused by overloading, no additional dedicated safety devices are necessary. The thickener tank is typically fabricated from concrete.
To power the drive motor, annular nodes are mounted on the central support assembly. Current collection joints fitted with slip rings are attached to the arm brace. Cables routed along the arm brace deliver electrical power to the motor via these joints.
Selection Notes
- Owing to the relatively low friction coefficient of the running roller, skidding is likely to take place under conditions of track icing or excessive loading. Consequently, this model is not recommended for deployment in cold areas where icing is prevalent, nor for handling high-volume or high-concentration ore pulp.
- Steel plate tanks are not provided as standard equipment.
